Dr Craig Venter, the scientist who raced the US government to map the human genome over a decade ago and created synthetic life in 2010, was able to join us at the 2015 Discovery Vitality Summit. He is now on a quest to treat age-related diseases.
The goal is to sequence 1 million human genomes by 2020. This will provide a basis from which to compare human diseases testing results to ultimately determine appropriate medical intervention.
